How do i update the video card driver on my computer?

I need to update my video card driver, but how do i do this. Any help would be appreciated.|||Ok, it sounds like you don't know what your video card is. I'm going to assume you are using Windows XP. If you are using Windows Vista then you probably shouldn't update your card unless you really need to as Vista has problems with hardware updates. Here are some instructions for you if you have Windows XP or similar.

1. Find out what driver you have. Right click on your desktop and select properties. Click on the Settings tab. Your video card is listed here - it should say something like 1. [something] Monitor on [your video card here].

2. If you are on a desktop computer, type your video card's name into google and try to get to the manufacturer's site. If you have a laptop/notebook computer, then you probably need to go to your laptop's manufacturer's site instead.

3. On the website of the video card manufacturer or laptop manufacturer, navigate to downloads/driver updates and see if you can locate your video card/laptop model. Once you find it, download the update.

4. If your update has a setup program, run that and it should guide you through the installation. If it does not: Go to Start > Control Panel > System and click on the Hardware tab. Click device manager. Click the little plus beside Display adapters. Your video card will be listed there, right-click on it and select Update Driver. The wizard will guide you through the update.

Be very careful that you install the correct driver update! If you have a problem after installing the new update, rollback the driver. To do this, navigate to the Device Manager (see step 4) and instead of clicking Update Driver, select Properties. Click the driver tab then select Rollback Driver.

Good luck! I'm updating my own video card tonight.|||Find out the manufacturer of the video card and the model. Go to the manufaturers website and download the driver there....

Good luck.|||Go to the vendeor's website and search for your video cards drives. The site will have instructions on how to install it.|||get your video driver card name or product nubmer and goto google.com and ask for the update for drivers.
