Why would i want to update my video card drivers?

are there any significant improvements? and What does updating the driver mainly do?|||Some drivers can improve performance and most driver updates fix display bugs from specific games.|||improve performance and more compatibility with games|||above are correct. For example, once i was playing a online game, and i was crashing in this same spot over and over...so i updated my drivers..and it worked! yay XD
